Profile
Doctor Steven Kelly is a New Zealand trained General Surgeon and full qualified in 2006.
He spent two years of subspecialty training in Upper GI and Bariatric Surgery in the United Kingdom. Upper GI surgery is the specialised surgery of the oesophagus and stomach. The first year was at Addenbrookes Hospital(Cambridge). The subsequent time was at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary(Scotland) and Musgrove Park Hospital(Taunton).

He has worked for the last 15 years as a consultant surgeon in Christchurch, New Zealand. Currently, working at Christchurch public hospital and in private at both St Georges and Southern Cross hospitals.

He has now performed over 2500 bariatric surgical procedures and over 7000 laparoscopic (keyhole) procedures.
